DARY Organization completed its training courses for DoH staff in (15) Iraqi governorates with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the cooperation of the Ministry of Health (MoH), in which (515) trainees, the majority of them were women, received training on modern practical programs for women’s and reproductive health and family planning.

Specialized trainers conducted (27) training workshops, theoretical and practical lectures around the standard criteria and updated policies related to reproductive health and family planning programs, as well as methods for using the decision-making tools “DTM” prepared by the MoH and the UNFPA to develop the planning of reproductive and childhood health, pregnancy planning, and prevention of abortion and to decrease the maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality rates.

The courses also included the participation of staff (community volunteers) from the Ministry of Youth and sport (MoYS) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA) with the aim of providing counselling and introducing family planning services in addition to collecting data and medical documentation. They were implemented on different periods in the following governorates of (Baghdad, Basra, , Saladdin, Maysan, Kirkuk, Diwaniyah, Diyala, Thi-Qar, Nineveh, Najaf, Wassit, Karbala, Muthanna, Babel, and Anbar).

DARY Organization also prepared, within its plan for the year 2024, the continued development of health workers through family planning and reproductive health programs because it possesses experience, in addition to its capabilities in rehabilitating, building and managing maternity hospitals and delivery rooms and providing medical consultation services at all stages.
