When hunger attacks a place, tragedy begins and the spectre of death hangs on each side, and the phase of death and brutality begins mercilessly, and it is even harsher, especially if the victim is a baby girl living under the weight of displacement camps where the humanitarian situation is bitter.    Nour Abdullah Khader, a seven-month-old baby girl, is one of those victims, as she lives with her widowed mother in al-Salamiyah camp for displaced people in Nineveh governorate in northern Iraq, and hunger and its complications began to severely kill her body and organs when she was discovered by the UNICEF-funded DarY Nutrition and Awareness Program survey team. "During the daily surveys of the second salamiyah camps for displaced persons, we found Noor with her mother& 39;s stone in the door of the numbered tent (BB14-15) and the despair was evident on her features, as she imagined that she would lose her daughter, where the high fever, diarrhoea, dehydration and anorexia were all not a good symptom," said Ibtisam Yahia, one of the mobile team members. "The baby& 39;s shape is like a skin on a bone, pushed me to measure the arm," she said. The mother of the infant, Noor, was quick to review the center for the first time on (14-6-2020), to carry out the medical team& 39;s preliminary examination of the infant, and found that she was very weak, weighing almost 7.2 kilograms, and the measure of the arm of the hand indicates (11.1), indicating that she is severely malnourished, and that she must undergo an ongoing program and follow-up according to the diagnosis of nutritionists "Ali Bassem" and "Ayman Mohammed Nutritional Medical Doctor". "We have subjected the infant to a special dietary and therapeutic program in order to restore her normal condition and recover from her illness, where we urged the mother to intensify her regular visits to the center in order to monitor the condition of the infant as well as give her the necessary treatments, supplements and vitamins.  "In the second review on (5-7-2020), the infant weighed (8.6) kilograms and measured the arm of the hand (12.4) centimeters, to enter his condition better than the previous one, and in the third review on (11-8-2020) the weight of the child 9.8 kg and MUAC measurement (12.5), and in the fourth review dated (13-9-2020) it weighed (10kg) and the measure MUAC is (13) CM and thus made a full recovery from severe malnutrition that she suffered from to normal. The child "Noor" then returned to life and the despair of "Mother of Nour" turned to optimism for a better future through the efforts of the organizations (Dary and UNICEF), who were quick to intervene in the treatment of acute and moderate malnutrition in the camps of displaced persons (Hammam al-Alil, Al-Ja& 39;ada and Salamiya) by using mobile teams to reach these malnourished children and then turn them into medical centers dedicated to the necessary treatment and regular follow-up.
