DARY donated another batch of wheelchairs for people with special needs in Nineveh governorate, Where the representative of the World Health Organization and the head of its mission in Iraq (Dr. Ahmed Zouitan) launched the distribution event inside the Ibn Sina Center in the city of Mosul,He valued this continuous work as a system that the WHO has been working on in cooperation with the DARY organization for years.Dr. Ahmed Zouitan also gifted wheelchairs to children and the elderly, and it included 150 needy persons.Promising to make more efforts to obtain the necessary support to provide more chairs for people with special needs in Iraq, especially since the previous stage witnessed the donation of DARY organization to about (1150) wheelchairs with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) and funding from (USAID).The representative of the WHO in Iraq was also briefed on the therapeutic services of the Ibn Sina Center, which is run by DARY in cooperation with Nineveh Health Directorate, and  fund from WHO, and touring in its departments of mental health and physical rehabilitation, pointing out that WHO will spare no effort to support the disabled people and rehabilitate them throughout Iraq. The number of beneficiaries of DARY’s Static centers and Mobile clinics in Anbar was (42594) citizens funded by the World Health Organization (WHO) came as the following "DARY 1" (3186) citizens, "DARY 8" in Heet-Albakr (3325), while mobile clinics operating in the regions of ANA - Al-Qaem – Al-Khalidiya- Saqlawiya – Kilo 7 / Kilo 18 – Al-Ruttba ) provided services to (13273) citizens. ambulance call center provided medical services to (4732) citizens, while the Al-Rumana Emergency unit and ambulance call Center at Al-Qaem district, served ( 4589) citizens. The PHCC funded by IHF- UNOCHA, which served as following “DARY 2-AAF camp" (2155) citizens .  while the number of beneficiaries of the Reproductive Health Delivery room at Al-Baker district in Anbar Governorate, which is funded by (WHO), reached (2737) citizens: (48) of them who underwent a normal vaginal delivery (NVD). AL-Karma Delivery room (870) women Funded by (UNFPA ) (80) of them who underwent a normal vaginal delivery (NVD) and Al-Saqlawiya RH clinic (1963 ) beneficiaries also Funded by (UNFPA) while the total number of beneficiaries from health project (RH - deliveries - awareness) Funded by (CARE International) in Anbar reached ( 8222 ) citizens.  In Nineveh "DARY" PHC Centers and clinics total beneficiaries reached (69975) citizens, they distributed through its centers funded by (WHO) received the beneficiaries as the following : "DARY 5- Al-Qawsyat " (2367) citizens "DARY 6 Al-Jadaa" (6724) citizens, "DARY 7" in Sinjar Mountain (2790) citizens ,”DARY 11 Hatara provided service to(3758) and ”Dary 12 Doghat (1308) citizens, "DARY 10 Al-Sununi" (9575) citizens, While the Emergency and Maternity hospital in Tal Marak in Zammar district provided services to (4402 ) citizens. While mobile clinics provided services to (33703) citizens funded by (WHO ). In the side of Reproductive Health (RH), the clinic funded by (UNFPA) which is working at Ewynat- Talafar (1374) - Wanna - Telkeif (1561) and Qairawan -Sinjar (1293) : served around (27) and Hammam alaleel Delivery Room (5410) beneficiaries. DARY Humanitarian Organization launched a health and awareness program for first grade pupils in Diwaniyah Governorate schools. The program includes health awareness to protect from (Covid 19), equipping students with supplies to prevent corona, also general hygiene and dental health, gifting toothbrushes and toothpaste, while its application will continue for thirty days, with the aim of including the largest number of schools in the governorate center, its districts and subdistricts. DARY Human Organization examined and treated (109118) citizens in its static and Mobile clinics and centers which is working in different areas of IRAQ during December 2020 , which varied between Primary health care servicers, Mental health and physical Rehabilitation, Reproductive Health, vaccination, Nutrition, Health awareness and Promotions.      The number of beneficiaries of DARY’s Static centers and Mobile clinics in Anbar was (  39036) citizens funded by the World Health Organization (WHO) came as the following "DARY 1" ( 3131) citizens, "DARY 8" in Heet-Albakr ( 4677), while mobile clinics operating in the regions of ANA - Al-Qaem – Al-Khalidiya- Saqlawiya – Kilo 7 / Kilo 18 – Al-Ruttba )  provided services to ( 12597) citizens.  ambulance call center provided medical services to (  8787) citizens, while the Al-Rumana Emergency unit and ambulance call Center at Al-Qaem district, served ( 4589) citizens.  The PHCC funded by IHF- UNOCHA, which served as following “DARY 2-AAF camp" ( 2430) citizens ,THC camp (1541 ),   while the number of beneficiaries of the Reproductive Health Delivery room at Al-Baker district in Anbar Governorate, which is funded by (WHO), reached ( 3040) citizens: ( 87) of them who underwent a normal vaginal delivery (NVD).  AL-Karma Delivery room ( 1145) women Funded by (UNFPA ) (99) of them who underwent a normal vaginal delivery (NVD) and  Al-Saqlawiya RH clinic (1623 ) beneficiaries also Funded by (UNFPA) while the total number of beneficiaries from health project (RH - deliveries - awareness) Funded by (CARE International) in Anbar reached ( 6705 ) citizens.      In Nineveh "DARY" PHC Centers and clinics total beneficiaries reached ( 65984) citizens, they distributed through its centers funded by (WHO) received the beneficiaries as the following : "DARY 5- Al-Qawsyat " ( 2550) citizens "DARY 6 Al-Jadaa" ( 6710) citizens, "DARY 7" in Sinjar Mountain (3074) citizens , "DARY 9 in Baaj" (5436 ), "DARY 10 Al-Sununi" ( 8758) citizens, While the Emergency and Maternity hospital in Tal Marak in Zammar district provided services to (5489 ) citizens. While mobile clinics provided services to (24010) citizens funded by (WHO ), while MMC funded by (IHF-OCHA) served (1164) citizens.  In the side of Reproductive Health (RH), the clinic funded by (UNFPA) which is working at Ewynat- Talafar ( 1557) - Wanna - Telkeif ( 2509) and Qairawan -Sinjar ( 1295) : served around (  50) and Hammam alaleel Delivery Room ( 3432) beneficiaries. DARY Humanitarian Organization implemented a community awareness campaign "Together to Avoid Flood Risks" in Nineveh and Salah Al-Din, with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) , funding from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA\USAID) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health (MoH). "DARY" opened the campaign program on the two conference halls of the Rehabilitation Hospital in Salah Al-Din and the Ibn Sina Hospital in Nineveh in the presence of representatives from the WHO and DoH of the both governorates and other departments. while there was training for the specialized teams and community Volunteers teams also according to Integrated curriculum from WHO included ( Floods and torrents risks definition, social mobilization and its concept, public reporting in health emergencies, risk and emergency notification, response plans) with the aim of providing them with rapid response steps and skills that enable them to deliver awareness messages in a smooth and simplified manner to the community in areas and villages near rivers and exposed to floods. The community volunteer teams were divided into two teams, the first one in Nineveh consists of (25) volunteers and (2) team-leaders, and the second one in Salah Al-Din consists of (15) volunteers and (2) team-leaders, distributed according to the targeted areas close to the rivers and the most vulnerable to floods, where each volunteer at least performs (600) sessions Raising awareness, leading to more than (24) thousand awareness sessions, each of which includes one person or group of people within 10 days, while awareness sessions are accompanied by the distribution of gifts to the beneficiaries, such as (a portable bag, car sunshade, awareness brochures, explanatory posters, wall calendar , Tabletop calendar, Diary, notebook, paper folder) .
